Post subject:  Advice needed - joined back starting to "waffle"

I joined an Osage Orange back a couple of months ago, then hung it in my shop, prior to gluing back reinforcement and braces. I intend to put a 15' radius on the back, with laminated braces. Back thickness is about .100 - .110

As I look at it, it's started to warp a bit - certainly visible while sighting down from top to bottom.

Do I need to sticker and weight this for some time? Or can I simply brace as usual in a go bar deck and radius dish? Will the braces correct for the curve in the back or do I need to correct it first?

Thanks.

I wouldn't worry about it too much....

Certainly stickering and weighting it may help it stay flat till you need it...

It will be fairly flexible at your thickness... Bracing will straighten out the shape as well... but I wouldn't brace the back till you are very close to closing the box... Just in case.

Thanks

I agree with John;
Anytime I join backs I lay them flat on stickers and put a weight on them to help them stay flat.
