I purchased a delta 14" White stand anniversary addition with closed stand hardly used at a very good price! I have been using it a bit but it seems to rattle so I decided to do a little trouble shooting. First I took the belt off and noticed the pulley was missing the key block put one in belt was good put it back on. I added a piece of plywood to the top of the stand as reinforcement and thought it would cut down on vibration. I put a blade on it certainly vibrates less but when i put a level across the 2 wheels the top is maybe a quarter inch Back from the bottom and the blade touches at the bottom back surface of the blade guard. should I be shimming the top wheel a quarter of an inch with washers? Or is there something else i should do? |

Ok so maybe the riser block doesn't line up right but its hard for me to tell. If I take the pins out I could mount the top again line it up and drill new pin holes thru the top of the arm and put them back in while the arm is in place but how can I tell were the sweet spot is. Anyone ever have a block that didn't align correctly? |

One more thing - at least on imports, the CI frames can be flexy. Make sure you make your measurements with the saw under tension. |
