Well, this is my latest acoustic. This is #2 for my brother... B&S: Cocobolo Top: Carpathian Spruce Bracing: Carpathian Spruce Headstock Overlay: Brazilian Bridge: Brazilian Fretboard: Sapwood Brazilian with Andy Depaule Tree of Life inlay... b/maple/b side purfling, koa appointments, and b/w/b/maple/b/w/b top purfling The nut is fossilized walrus peni...oosik, the saddle and bridge pins are bone. Joe White helped me out with the amazing finish - of which the pictures simply do not do justice. He is amazing. Overall, I am very happy with the way this sounds. Very present in the low end, yet very sparkly and defined in the mids and trebles...She has only been strung up for about 48 hours, so I am hoping she loosens up a bit more before I give her away on Christmas day... Forward and onward! Thanks for looking, Stephen |

Totally stunning. Immaculate workmanship and Joe's paint job is excellent, as always. I love the board, too, but the cocobolo is becoming my favorite. It is just amazingly beautiful. You done good. |

Thanks guys! The shape is my own, but is most definately inspired by the GS...clean and simply, but still shapely enuogh to be counted as "modern" for whatever that is worth... My signature inlays come from Brian England Custom Inlay. I believe it was Terrence Kennedy, but I use a reverse logo cut in corian doublesticky taped to the bottom of the headstock veneer - then run this on a pin the same diameter as my endmill (mounted in a dremel drill press). It does a pretty nice job. Stephen |

That is one slick looking guitar. The bindings are pretty awesome too. What do you think about the oosik? I bought some to see what it was like and I can't decide what I think. Some of it feels more like a rock than a bone. Your brother is going to be extra-psyched, I'm sure! |

The oosik is interesting - beautiful and consistent in some areas, porous in others. It is just so visibly stunning, I love it...the only complaint I have is that when cutting the nut slots, because the density really is not so very consistent, you have to be very careful with the pressure applied. Slots can get cut too deep if you are not paying attention. Stephen |

Thanks... I did the inlay, I obviously bought it from DePaule - and started from the bottom...you can tell. I go much better as I progressed up the fretboard. Filling in the two colored fretboard was a trick... Stephen |

Really handsome, Stephen. And what a Christmas present! It was courageous of you to inlay a design that elaborate in two toned wood. Well done! Steve |
