I am looking for 2-3 shop stands that I can bolt to the floor and mount parrot vises on. I was wondering If anyone has come across anything at a decent price. Similar to the Erlewine setup but it doesn't have to be quite that fancy. I want to setup some different work stations. I have a lot of space, but not a lot of funds. Thanks. |

I don't know if this will help but I thought it was cool enough that it was worth a look. viewtopic.php?f=10101&t=20503 Darrin |

I guess I should have clarified, the dental chairs in Jordan's post seemed like a perfect solution...and free. Darrin |

Those are great ideas, and I am open to many. I had a chance to pick up two baldor buffer stands at $50 each and they sold 5 minutes before I got to the liquidation. That's how it goes sometimes, oh well. |

break drums, pipe, plate and a visite to your local welder buddy pal, best friend. oh ya and a six pack or two. big break drums really don't need to be bolted down...they just sit there. blessings the Padma |

I dont know exactly what youre looking for but I have 4 of these Bekvam kitchen carts from Ikea. They go on sale every once in a while. I interchange the legs depending on whether I want wheels or not. Keep my little jet 10-20 drum sander on one. Pretty solid for not a lot of money. Warren. |

Would this work? Attachment: stand.JPG It's a grinder stand from Grizzly. I suppose it could be bolted to the floor if needed. The Padma's suggestion is a good one if you have the time and connections. |

The stands they sell for bench grinders are probably strong enough if bolted down and are height adjustable. I picked one up on sale for a reasonable price to use as a stand for my buffer and it works well. Check Harbor Freight or those kind of places. Fred |

May wobble a tad, but won't budge if bolted down well. |
