Anybody know where I can find back and top bracing patterns for the J40. Of course, I am willing to pay for them. Mike |

Mike, thanks for asking this question. I was thinking about ripping the top off of my J-40 to have a look at the bracing pattern (just kidding). Now I don't have to do that! Just for reference, the J-40 is a beautiful sounding guitar. It has a good strong, deep rosewood sound with clear projection and good sustain. The only two things that seem to be weak are a dead B string (less volume than it should have) and it tends to be boomy. I always thought that if those two things could be corrected, it would be awesome. The boominess could be compensated for in the lower ends of the "X's" and the tonebars. The B string I'm not sure about. Anyone have any ideas? |
