What is the string width at the bridge for a mando-cello? String width at the nut (1 to 8, c-c) is 33 mm. The scale length is 24 3/4". I keep looking at 40 mm, like a standard mandolin, but it seems a tad tight. The plans do not have this detail so I just hope that someone might have this information so I can finish this one for Christmas. Thanks in advance Bob |

Since nobody else knows what is standard, I have decided to use 48 mm 1-8 c-c because it looks right. Bob |

Since this site is more guitar oriented (though there are some mando builders here) I recommend you check out this site http://www.mandolincafe.com/ there is a forum and a builders section. A lot more mandolin family action over there then here. I'm a member there as are a few here...Mike |
