I've got an older Tormec, and use it occasionally for major reshaping/edge conditioning, but I
like scary-sharp for just touching up edges on my tools. I used to use the leather strop-wheel
for final burnishing, but found it rounds off the flat surface on chisels and plane irons so that
they seem sharp-ie, shave hair off my arm fine- but they don't cut as well on wood. I've also
got some Japanese water stones, but it always seems such a pain to pour the water in the
pan and use the stone, compared to the scary-sharp on a granite plate (BTW, local granite
countertop suppliers in my area give away nice, flat hunks of granite for free- don't need to
buy a glass chunk).

I also see Jet has an ~$300 tormec-like sharpener. No experience with it, so I don't know if
it's any better than the Grizzly one.
