Post subject:  antiqued necks

I've been antiquing my carvings for 30 years but never have I have preantiqued any carved guitar necks. Most of the time I carve and send back to client..RAW! These are ones (classical and OM LMI preformed necks) I carved a couple weeks ago and I'm now contemplating puting t these on a couple of my own guitars, sell them or haul them as carving examples to luthier shows. I have a coat of shellac on these. The antiquing process/coloring is an oil base, so it is important that it be sealed before applying a Nitro lacquer. Other than that, any finish can go over these with little prep.
