Hi folks:

I've been reading here for a little while and have been totally amazed by what I see and read. Great community of artists who readily share what they know and how to do it.

I started my first build about 6 months ago. I go one evening a week to a class that's composed of three builders and the instructor. We have a great time. Here's a few pics of where I'm at currently:

I have my own business (custom leathercraft) so I have limited time currently to work on the guitar. But, man, I'm hooked. I've been reading just about everything I can, and listening to what folks discuss, and try to soak it all in. I'm already collecting parts and pieces for my next build, which will be an OM.

Thanks for the opportunity to join the forum, and I look forward to learning from you all.

Kevin-
Oh, oh...sounds like you are 'hooked'.... [:Y:] You will find lots of 'enablers' for your addiction here! Welcome!

Your guitar project looks really good- nice clean work and simple style. How did you do the 'KM' logo for the headstock?

Cheers
John

Mike: Thanks for the welcome. The bike is an HD Dyna Low Rider. Have had it for a little over 2 years now. That's genuine shark on the saddle bag lids and on the seat. 8-)

John: Thanks for the welcome. The logo piece will be inlaid. It's just sitting atop the headstock for picture purposes. It is genuine ivory, and I then had the piece scrimshawed.

Hey Kevin,

Welcome to the party!
A Chevy truck, a motorcycle, and a hand built Derad. What more could a boy want?
