Very nice - clean and well executed. How wide are the UB, waist, and LB? How's it play? |

Wow! The templete I got from Tim McKnight off a 1927 N.L.S. is just over 13 1/2" lower bout. Anyway, nice job on the guitar. ![]() |

Thanks all for the good words . Rod, the earlier NL's were a totally different shape from the later ones with a more rounded lower bout, the later ones were the same as the L-00 body shape but with the body depth of a dread ,so your 27 template is correct, i think gibson changed the shape of the NL around 1930 as far as i can find out.Thank all Roby |

Looks great. Now the question is: After such a long wait did it meet your expectations? |

Roby- Thanks for the tip about the National Music Museum. There's enough info there http://orgs.usd.edu/nmm/PluckedStrings/Guitars/Gibson/12574/NickLucasGuitar.html that a person could probably draw a decent template after a bit of time playing with the computer/printer, etc. Beautiful work on the guitar- congrats. What did you use for the end wedge? Very clean look. Cheers John |

Thanks all, just to answer a couple of questions, John, the end graft is white plastic material from stewmac with b/w fibre purfling from lmi .And Douglas, it more than met my expectations i was suprised at how loud this thing is, and it plays so easily due to the short gibson scale. Thanks again Roby |
