I noticed that LMI is now stocking U Beaut hard shellac. I am generally a sucker for new things, but this stuff is seriously expensive. Anyone using it currently? Will 16 ml complete a dred? |

The cost of shipping from "Down Under", no doubt! |

That's big news. Surely steeper than regular shellac, but not all that bad on a per-instrument basis if you FP. Anybody going to bite? By the way, it's 16 oz. or 500 ml. Pat |

500ml is plenty whether you FP or spray. I've used the old formulation to finish a guitar. The finish crazed after about a year or so and I was royally p*****. The product was then reformulated to avoid this problem. I'll let others experiment with it before I'll use it again. |

I did some testing with the new formula about six months ago and so far so good. |
