part of the connector for the 9 volt battery jack on an LR Baggs "double barrel" pickup came off. is there a way to replace just the battery jack or is the pickup lost? also what would be a good starting place for placement of the condenser mic? it came loose long ago and i cant remember where it was attached. thanks in advance. |

Go to Radio shack (or whatever its called these days - its the Source here in Canada) and buy a new 9 volt end .. cut and strip the end of the old one, put some shrink wrap on (dont heat it yet), and solder the new end to these wires. Then move the shrink wrap over, and heat that as protection and insulation on the joint. Good as new. |

It's easy to replace the battery jack. You should be able to buy one at Radio Shack or Circuit City or The Source (I forget what it's called these days in the US). Cut out the old one and splice the wires to the new one. Cover each joint with electrical tape or, better, some shrink tubing. Pat |
