Does anyone know what Ramirez uses as a pore filler, and finish for their non-FP guitars? |

They do have an email contact on their web site. They might share with you. The materials probably change over the years, and maybe with models. Their lower end models (which are most now) are subcontracted out to other shops. |

I really like the finish on the high end Ramirez guitars, and just wondered what materials they use to get it. |

Ramirez uses a proprietary finish on his guitars. Not sure what it is, but I believe it is a type of varnish. I have no idea what they fill with. I have heard, and certainly don't know for sure, that it is difficult to reproduce, in looks, and troublesome for invisible repair. I stand to be corrected, if this is in error. |

Thanks Waddy, One of these days I might try CA for a filler, I have used Zpoxy and really liked the results and ease of use. I am hoping that using nitro now will lead to a better looking finsh than the water based stuff I used last time. Here is my latest flamenco |
