Hi all, Have any of you had any experience building and/or using the Fingerboard Radius Fixture from cool tools? It looks like if constructed and set-up properly, it could save a bunch of time on radiusing FBs. Comments? Thanks, Dave |

I cant see why it wouldnt work .. looks like the FB rotates on radiused blocks at each end of the jig, the router only moves on the centreline. The only thing I would advise, is not to use a router like that shown in the picture, with a round base .. allowing the router to balance on such a small portion of its base - it could tip and destroy the FB in a split second with nice gouge - you need to make another base for the router that is square or rectangular, and rides the rails without allowing the router to tip - easy enough to do. |

If I'm not mistaken, JJ built one and loves it. Check the archives. |

Tony and Lillian, Thanks for the added suggestions. I found the posts from JJ and it makes much better sense to have a square base, great catch. Thanks, Dave ![]() |
