I have a old tenor banjo I am cleaning up and working on . its in nice shape and doesnt require much . the question I have is ( not being a musician ) is the bridge to 12th fret to nut spacing on a banjo basically same as on guitar . "equal distance " or close? |

You mean the scale length? If you double the distance from the nut to the 12th fret and put the bridge there, you'll get close. Then you can adjust the bridge carefully until the 12th fret note and the 12th fret harmonic sounds the same. |
