Post subject: | The SOUND of WOOD - Monteleone Guitar and Woody Mann |
Hi folks, I had been busy the last couple of days, but finally found some time to create something enchanting for the weekend! On my never ending quest for the holy grail in fine guitars I truly had a day to remember. First John Monteleone tries to capture the sound of wood in his humble words, then Woody Mann definitely captures it with the beauty of his playing. You can tell that John is - besides being one of the key figures in archtop and mandolin making - a wine-maker. The parallels between fine wine and fine Custom Archtop Guitars are more than surprising. Later that day we met Woody Mann at Rudys Music 48th Street. Woody shared some of his incredible talent with us, playing some of the finest Monteleone guitars in New York City. Thanks to Rudy Pensa for sharing some of his Monteleone masterpieces. ![]() http://www.customguitarvideo.com/2009/10/16/john-monteleone-03/ Enjoy, Holger |
