Wondering if a side with a tight lengthwise crack in rosewood that was glued with CA can be bent without the CA glue joint coming undone? If it will come undone will new CA stick to the old CA? I realize this has probably been asked before but I could not find it with Search... Thanks, Peter Z |

You glue the purfling to the bindings with CA before bending? And they don't fall apart? |

I've glued cracks in sides with CA and then bent them without a problem. And, like Todd, I've also glued purflings to bindings with CA and then bent them without a problem. I've also glued purflings to bindings with PVA glues (regular Titebond, LMI white, etc) and then bent them without a problem. I've got plenty of other problems, but these are not among them. ![]() |
