Post subject: | Using Flickr to make a guitar gallery for your web site |
I discovered a nice feature in Flickr that allows you to use their service (FREE) to store your photos and then display them on your web site. In their slideshow window there is a "share" feature that lets you grab the code and place it within a web page. Once placed, you now see your flickr photos streamed through your web site. Nice thing about this is if you update your set of photos on flickr, the updates will be seen in your stream through your web site. You can even choose a custom size for your web stream - which is a nice feature. I threw a quick sample together and put it on this page: http://www.burnerguitars.com/gallery005.html There are some great tools within the stream. You can select an individual image from thumbnails at the bottom of the image area, you can click to display the gallery full screen - and then when you hit escape it takes you right back to the page. Thought I'd share this with all of you as it makes galleries a breeze - and updating them a snap! If you have any questions on setting it up let me know. |
