My wedge jumbo has a new owner, though I am holding on to it for a few weeks so I can take it to the Tony McManus guitar weekend in October and do a couple set up changes. Here is a video of it being played by the soon to be owner. There is a lot of background traffic noise and the video is backlit, but it was warm yesterday and we had all the doors open. This was filmed at Blue Fish music in Plymouth Mi where we will soon hold a Michigan Luthier get together. http://s190.photobucket.com/albums/z228/fetellier/?action=view¤t=MOV04449.flv There are some photos in this earlier OLF post http://www.luthiersforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10101&t=22685 I noticed this is my 400th post when do I become a different type of wood, though I like Cocobolo a lot. Fred, that's awesome, congratulations. The guitar is a real beauty and I'm sure it'll make the new owner happy. So No. 5 is the first one you sold... I'm currently working on No. 3...two more to go ![]() May I ask how much you asked for it? Did you sell it basically at cost, or did you make some profit? thanks, Christian |

Quote: When is the get together in Plymouth? I live right next door Ken How next door are you? We may need a little help when it gets rolling. Lance it is the same body shape and bracing but with the wedge shaped side profile, the neat thing is the wedge has not effected the sound at all. Christian number 3 and 4 probably will be sold also, I have had some fairly serious interest. Though I will have to get over the depression first from loosing the wedge though it has only been complete for 4 months it is like one of my children. The good thing is I see Kevin at least once a month as we both are involved in the Michigan Fingerstyle society so I will get to visit the guitar. Kevin is quite a good melodic fingerstyle picker as you can hear in the video so it will sound much better in his hands than mine. Fred |

Congrats Fred! I have no shame and sold mines starting with the second, and it wasn't exactly at cost either. But only because I have no room for them ![]() |
