Post subject:  Do you guys buff your fingerboards?

Just wondered. I usually buff my bridges but not the fingerboards.

But I've been thinking they might match up better if they were both buffed.

Absolutely. Sand up to 2000, then buff with medium. They look great! (Started this after seeing the great Jimmy Foster videos on youtube, & how his ebony just sparkled.... blew me away!)

I sand up to 600 grit wet-or-dry then turn the sandpaper over and buff the board with the back of the sandpaper. Buffs up to a nice glow real quick.

Me too. The buffed look, or at least the "buffed by me" look kinda wears off after a while.
