Yep, I've always been happy that I didn't waste the $400 on the mechanical system. So far, I've rationalized saving that same $400 to purchase thousand$$$ on other more useful items. laughing6-hehe

BTW...the other LN videos are just as useful...and the music's not bad either!

Wow good link, Lie-nielson also has all kinds of good wood working videos available on you tube. I seem to spend more time on youtube than watching TV, better entertainment and free.

Thanks for sharing! I am somewhat new to the sharpening thing and the video helped me take some shortcuts I didn't know were possible. Man! I love my water stones!!!

So how does this translate to sandpaper method? 800-2000 and your done with just 2 sets of paper?

Yea, I thought my lie nielsen instructions said not to use a back bevel, even a minimal one. Not sure that is a great idea for lutheri, I think super flat soles are the most important.
