I guess I should not think of "mistakes" as such, rather "opportunities to learn" :-). I got a little too aggressive in my sanding dish this morning and cracked the side a bit. I was able to fix it this morning, and thankfully, the crack is fixed and not visible.

I have several guitars in progress as I am trying to repeat each step along the way multiple times so the process is engrained in my head. On this one guitar, what I am calling a Jumbo PS (My take on the Larson's Prairie State- shape, not with the lam bracing tho), I am building the top flat (using lutz), but incorporating a 1/8" ramp sanded into the sides from the middle of soundhole to the neck block (creating 3 degree neck angle, but keeps the fingerboard level over the body).

Anyway, I am hoping my learning opportunities are not TOO frequent ;-)

Yeah, don't you just love opportunities for learning! laughing6-hehe
Keep us posted on the Larson Prairie State. I just got the book on the Larson Bros., some fine looking guitars!

Mike

It was a pretty clean crack, so super glue and clamps worked perfectly.

Yeah, it seems super glue has a number of useful functions - a volume on the uses of super glue would be awsome (fixing cracks, pore filling, etc)
