Guys I just bought a set of nut files from warmoth and they're gauged 10, 13, 17, 24, 32, 36, 40, 50. I play d'addario EJ18's gauged 14, 18, 27, 39, 49, 59, and I know from reading Todds posts here that a string can sit in a slot up to 4 thou bigger that the gauge, but my question it by rolling the files can I create large enough slots with the files I own or should I by a few individuals to supplement my set? |

I've rolled my file side to side and gotten good results. I have a nice rat tail file that I use with equally good results. Hope that helps! Clinton |
