On a new build how long do you let your bridge set after gluing before you string up for the first time? I am using LMI white Thanks Richard |

Same as David, although I admit I once have stringed a classical after only 3 hours of gluing time! ![]() Still holding after 2 years! |

I actually leave the bridge clamped for a full 24 hours and then do whatever other work is needed to prepare for the strings before pulling them to pitch so it may be a total of 27 to 30 hours. Regards, Kevin Gallagher/Omega Guitars |

I use hot hide glue and wait a minimum of 24 hours. I believe the bridge isn't a joint you want to rush. |
