QUICK! Get them on your Strat and you're sure to sound just like Clapton. That's a fun find in any case. Regards, Kevin Gallagher/Omega Guitars |

Wow, thats like Cream years. BUT, its guitar related. The Doors were asked to do Light My Fire for Oldsmobile (turned it down), and did do some kind of Ajax deal on their 4th record (stronger than dirt), but generally corporate endorsments were considered a no-no for the leaders of the 'counter culture', who then turned into politically correct, yuppiecrats anyway. Id say MAJOR collectors item there, if they are unopened, could get 40-50+ bucks a set or more if they are 60's items. First time I HAD to pick up a guitar was from hearing White Room....forced me to pick up a strad... ![]() |

That's a cool find Todd. A few years ago at the Les Paul forum a guy got a '59 or '60 burst in the shop with what looked like the original flatwound strings on it. From a little old lady who bought it to play in her country band, but then switched to acoustic and kept it under her bed for 50 years. It was in mint condition - and she found herself with instant retirement fund. |
