Post subject:  cleaning weld-on from soundboard

Well, poop... got a small blob of weld-on on my soundboard, despite my best efforts, and of course it dried up like The Booger Of The Gods before I noticed it....

Any tips on how to remove this without gouging up the board? Yes, I know, "don't do that in the first place" duh

was thinking maybe soften it up with acetone then get it off, and the remaining smear could come off with sanding block or scraper?

Any help would be super-appreciated!

I think the acetone should work. I would use that with a razor blade to gently scrape it off.

Adam, it sands off fine!. This is very normal with weld-on .... don't over think it. (ABS bound f-holes look like a dogs breakfast before you scrape/sand flush). Don't sweat it (and DON'T use solvent)

Oh, great! Yeh i have been accused of overthinking everything! [uncle] I guess I am just so paranoid about gouging it or dishing it out where i scrape, but as you say its normal, I'll go for it! Hehe dog's breakfast..

thanks!
