Just wondering what ya'll use to clamp your kerfing on. I am thinking of buying a bunch of the LMI wooden clamps, are there good reviews for these? Or are they no better than just the black office supply clips? |

I use the 1" black clips, but would love to have some of wooden LMI type just for the waist area. I'll probably put a few in my next order. I have upgraded some plastic clothes clamps I have using rubber tubing but they still suck. I remember the old ones made years ago, of wood, with a very strong spring. Can't seem to find that kind of stuff anymore, and it's not just about the clothes clamps!! |

I use a hodgepodge set of clamps including binder clips (probably the same ones Alexandru is talking about), some of the colorful spring clips from Harbor Freight and some strong little spring clamps from a source I forget for more troublesome areas. If you're stocking up from scratch, I recommend buying a box of those 1" binder clips from your local office supply store. They work great and are what I use the most of. |

well when i get to the point of gluing the rims on my two projects right now i was planing on just getting some clothes pins and beefing up the tension with some small elastics. |

I used clothes pins with rubber bands for a long time. My wife bought me some LMI wooden clamps last year for Christmas. They work great, and look cool in pictures. |

I use 1/2" steel spring clamps i fould them to last longer than plastic spring clamps. cost more but not in the long run and they have a higher spring tension (clamp force) |

The LMI clips work well, the only issue I have had is that some of the rubber bands are slightly bigger than others and so the clamping force is not always consistent. Not a huge issue, if you wanted more force in certain areas you could always double up on the rubber bands, they are cheap! |

Thanks for all the replies. Theres only one problem now, so many options that I cant decide. I have to put in an order with LMI anyway so maybe ill just get those. |
