Does anyone know where I can get parts for a performax 16/32? The motor mount which holds the vertical adjustment screw bit the dust. All the threads that the screw uses to lift the housing wore off. |

Brock, It should be a lot cheaper to repair it. Do you know about Helicoil? http://www.helicoil.com.sg/HeliCoil-Ins ... ctions.htm |

I was going to suggest the same thing as Steve. The nice part about the Helicoil is that you'll have steel threads for the lift screw instead of cast aluminum. Steve |

Repairing the thread should work well. I've switched from helicoil to Time Sert as a thread repair system. Have used it most on auto repairs but it's a great system for any thread repair. Heli-coil will hold up well in most situations but in high stress areas such as cylinder heads etc, Time Sert is the way to go. http://www.timesert.com/ I've had good experiences with getting Performax parts from the factory, they have been prompt and have the parts in stock. The feed motor on my belt drive system lost a gear, I had one in two days with no charges. Not bad.... Bruce |
