Post subject:  Regarding Cutaway Brace Adjustments...

When following a standard layout pattern making a dreadnaught with a Venetian cutaway, the thumbeam (at least on my shape) ends up having quite a bit of it's length running along the curve of the cutaway. The same thing with the first back brace. So I just moved the TB forward towards the neck block until the sides intersected more or less square again. But now there is a 1/2" ish gap between the thumbeam and the soundhole edge. I'm wondering if there could be future negative consequences to this approach.
Does any one have any thoughts?
What do some of you folks do?
Thanks...
