My concern would be drying the wood too much. Does this seem to be a problem? It's a great looking box.

Thanks for posting this.It will be interesting to know if there are long term advantages.A few days quicker isn`t much,unless a person is really impatient and very busy,which is how I seem to constantly find myself.

Wouldn't a furnace filter on the bottom make for a better air flow through the box then sitting on the foam pad? How do you manage to keep bugs and hair and dust off the porch hung ones or are they dry enought before you hang them outside?
You have any apple pies cooling at the kitchen window? :)

I put retarder or bluss remover or lacquer melt in my lacquer so I guess it stays softer longer. I always seem to get a gnat or cat hair or something in it by the time I get it hanging. I really need a spray booth. :)
