What pore filling method/product is used at the Martin factory on their rosewood guitars? Just wondering...

According to Frank Ford, they "tended to use" a dark walnut wood filler paste on both mahogany and rosewood. http://frets.com/FRETSPages/Luthier/Technique/Structural/BrokenHeadstocks/BackstrapOverlay/phoverlay.html. Don't know if they still do though...

Martin uses a mineral based filler not unlike Pore o Paq. They get it in a dark walnut color. They also ad a touch of naphtha to it for faster flash time. It is worked into the surface with a rotary air buffer and lambs wool bonnet. They apply 2 coats and let set. The filler is then scraped off the binding. They use a sizing before filling.
