Post subject:  Neck re-set on Yamaha?

I need to do a neck re-set on a yamaha that is probably about 20 years old.I`m not even sure about the neck joint,or if this is a repair that is possible on this guitar.Any knowledge or ideas?

The Yamahas I've seen from the '70s have a "standard" dovetail neck joint. It quite a deep dovetail and the dot at the 15th fret needs to be removed and that's where you'll want to drill to inject the steam. The neck block is usually spruce.

Thanks Laurent I appreciate the input.I`ve done a Martin re-set,and this sounds pretty similar, except for removing the dot and not the fret.Personally I don`t think this guitar is worth the effort. It was the first guitar this person ever owned so it`s that kind of thing.
