Hey all, Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. I'm trying to track down some drill guides/bushings similar to these that LMII used to carry (now discontinued). I need various sizes for jigs I'm building (headstock drill guide, fretboard pin drill guide, mortis/tenon drill guide, etc...). http://www.lmii.com/CartTwo/thirdproduc ... l+Bushings ![]() Anyone know where I can get something like this? |

Thanks Peter! I took a quick glance, and they definitely seem to have the goods... but I'm definitely going to need more coffee before I can deal with that website. ![]() |

McMaster-Carr has everything you need and one of the best web sites to navigate I've ever seen, particularly considering how much stuff they have. www.mcmaster.com |

Jim -- Apologies for not getting back you sooner! McMaster-Carr, MSC, and any other industrial supplier should have them. Also Woodworker's Supply has the nice knurled ones (easy install in wood, MDF, lucite, etc.). I believe most of mine came from them. How's the final sanding/prepping of the Jumbo going? Rick |

Wow, thanks everyone.. this is why I love this place. No worries Rick, The Jumbo is just about ready for finish. Neck is 100% ( final shaping, dots, inlay, all done). Need to do a bit more cleanup on the body.. mainly the sides and binding. I'm comtemplating putting binding along the neck at the cutaway, but not very seriously ( I pretty much have myself talked out of it at this point). I'll discuss making an appointment for finish with joe when he gets back from ASIA. I also got the OM back from Joe. It came in the mail today, but I didn't get a chance to look at it at all until late tonight (work sucks!). It looks really great. Joe did a fantastic job, and that little catastrophe is almost non-existent thanks to Joe's magic. When I've had time (it hasn't been much) I've been out in the shop building some jigs similar to those we used in your shop. Thus my post. =) I'll give you a call and see about coming by and showing both of them off soon (I'll need some fretting tip too I'm sure). Won't be this weekend or next week tho (work sucks!!). Thanks again everyone! ![]() |
