Ditto on John Hall. I built a 12 and 6 string from the outline that John has...which is as close to Martin as it gets. |

A modern Martin HD28VS or D18VS is shaped different than the older D28S or D18S. Which one do you want? Reguardless I'd try John Hall first. If John can't help you I've got a 1973 D18S. I can make you a tracing of it if that's the style you want. |

Jeff, i too am currently in early stages of a 12 fret dread build. currently working on the neck neck and head till i get to the mold making phase. ![]() ![]() i traced some good frontal pics of 12 fret dreads and then did a 1:1 sketch with Autocad. i cant guarantee 100% accuracy as all i had to work from was small pics but over all, i think my drawing is pretty close. if interested PM me and i'l e-mail it to you. Udi. |
