Anyone have CA glue leak like this? I've had this glue for a little over a year. I store it on a shelf and I've used it a few times over the last few months. When I go to reach for it last night, I find that it is stuck to the shelf and leaking. I had to take the shelf off. The picture is what I find. The container is coming apart! The glue is keep in my basement. An air conditioned space with mild humidity. This stuff is hot! It burns on the skin and the fumes are bad. Any ideas about what happened? Thx, Tony |

Tony, I had the same crack in the same place in the same red viscosity earlier this year ![]() |

Hot stuff, right? That stuff can sure make a mess. The same thing happened to the bottle on my shelf a couple of months ago, but my bottle was an oldie, at least a couple of years old. I took it as a strong hint to get rid of all glues that are too old to use anyways. As a result, all my super glues are now stored on the bottom shelf, not the top one (over the calculator, vernier calipers, rolls of tape, steel rulers, pencils and what not), which is were I used to keep them. ![]() |

Same thing happened to me last year, same glue, the bottle split on the seam, big mess. |

I had the same thing with medium-viscosity Starbond going through one of the 2 oz bottles that they provided. Never store CA above anything crucial! |

My father had a mostly full bottle of that stuff split in half while holding it in his hand, we are all used to having CA on our hands but that was a drag. |

CA is evil.... ![]() I store my CA in a Tupperware (uncovered) container on the bottom shelf of the fridge - it lasts longer when in the fridge. |

Haven't had a split container yet, but I keep all my CA containers in large can. It sits inside a crock and when I'm using CA, the can comes out and the CA bottle I'm using stays in the crock, since sometimes the container cap is off for dipping pipettes in. The crock is wide, low and heavy, making it hard to tip over. Borrowed the idea from Rick Davis. Pat |

Looks like mine's going in a jar - thanks for the warning! |

OK. From now on, ALL my CA glue will sit in a bowl on the shelf! |
