I'm just too excited to resist posting these two pics. Bearclaw sitka top + waterfall bubinga back... (almost) ready for finishing... ![]() ![]() After having built with walnut for my first guitar I have to say I didn't like working with bubinga too much... however after having seen the back with a naphta rub I must say I'm pretty stoked. I have never seen a wood that looked as 3-dimensional... I didn't give the top a naphta treatment before taking the picture, but you can see the bearclaw figure a bit nonetheless. Oh yeah...the body has bloodwood bindings... cheers, Christian |

Thanks Stephen... I'm really looking foward to holding it in my hands and playing it. I sold my Taylor a few weeks back to get funds for more tonewoods and tools, so I hope it'll turn out nice... if not I still have my old beater dread ![]() Christian |

I am willing to predict that your Taylor(a fine guitar) will soon become a distant memory as you break in your new axe! I used to LOVE my Taylor but I have been thinking of selling it myself for tonewood stash. |

I loved my Taylor as well (GS 8). With regards to sound I hope you're right with the distant memory. With regards to workmanship and fit I still have a little way to go I'm afraid ![]() Christian |
