I've been watching the Mayes videos and I have to say, these are the best training videos I've seen bar none! John, thanks! I for one greatly appreciate the fact that you took the time to make these and with such quality and attention to detail. You are a man of many talents. ![]() I recommend these to any and everyone considering any training videos. Even if you've built several guitars they are great for occasional refresher references. I'm very thankful that John put these up for auction and almost feel guilty that I didn't just buy them directly from him. To me, they're worth every penny he charges and even far more. It's really difficult to put a monetary value on the quality, detail, and time he put into it. And, I love the music and bloopers. John is a great down to earth guy and that comes through in his vids. Three cheers, and thank you John!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Not to jump on the band wagon, but I also strongly agree. I bought the complete set, and they have been invaluable to me. Glenn |

Yup. I'll agree with everything everyone else already said. I purchased the set a couple of years ago, but just last night I pulled on of them out to watch because I figure just like building more and more guitars makes things sink in, watching John's videos also makes things sink in. Great Job John. You're videos are absolutely Priceless! ![]() |

Totally agree with all that has been said. Just hope he produces a wood prep/finishing DVD in the future. Charles. |

Thanks for the nice words fellas. They are, for sure, not deserved but they are appreciated! Not everyone likes my style as I can be a bit corny (on purpose) and I tend to go on about certain details too long for some peoples taste, but for the most part I've gotten great response from them. (about 2-3 people in thousands said they didn't like them) |
