I came across this link from Grumpy on the Flatpick-L and thought it might be of interest to OLF members

Hey...great find Fred. Thanks!

BTW...I timed him...I'm definitely faster! <BSEG>

Even more interesting are his other videos

Those guitars of his are the most imposing tone generators I've ever heard...loud and they sustain forever! True Banjo Killers!

I enjoyed the "Time clock" video most of all. Check it out if you didn't!

Check out that thin (front to back) bridge on his dreadnaught.......

Yep, that very narrow bridge is one of his signatures. The first time I ever heard a Proulx in person set the standard for the tone I want to achieve. It's a high benchmark, no doubt. It was pretty cool seeing Mario pick and sing.

I see he posted a video on using the Rotozip bit to trim his top and back flush with the sides. I keep meaning to pick some up, but haven't done it yet. The video is pretty convincing. I didn't know he used a router table to do it, though. I've been using a flush trim bit in a handheld laminate trimmer. I now have to retract my statement made sometime back that anything a router table can do for luthierie a table saw can do better! (Although I'll still probably use a handheld trimmer for this.)

Thanks for posting this Fred my friend.

It's great to see Grumpy in action. Grumpy don't need no stinkin 2 ton press to install a top.... :D
