I have 3 pieces of LMI fretwire which arrived in the box curved. Interestingly, when I lay them end to end on the floor they make a close to perfect circle of a little better than 10" radius. Is this a good curve to work from when I cut the pieces, or should I try to bend more (or less)?

I use the LMI wire as I receive it and it works fine. My fretboards are a 16 radius. I press frets up to the 10th and hammer in the rest. You should be fine to use it as is.

Yeah I agree with our friend Josh and although I don't know what LMI's radius for their fret wire is I like to radius my fret wire to a slightly smaller radius than the radius of the board. When hammering I tap in the ends first which is why the tighter radius of the wire is helpful, at least to me.

I buy the 100ft rolls that LMI sells and use it just that way, It's about a 10 inch radius or so I'm guessing.

I ALWAYS hold the fretboard up to the fretwire to make sure the wire touches the board at the edges and there is about 1/16" gap at the middle. Anything much more or less that will get re-bent.

And, I check individual frets as I cut them because sometimes they need a little touching up on the radius. I may be a little too particular about this.
