Seems really expensive to me. Have you considered a mortise template from Stew-Mac?

Make one out of some Baltic Birch...don't spend a hundred dollars on that thing. |

This would be plenty easy enough to make out of wood, plexiglass, or UHMW. I wouldn't spend the money. For the price, you could buy enough materials to build several jigs. |

Also, it is not big enough. The original version only does 2" long mortises and the new one does 3" long. It would also not clamp onto a guitar body. Totally wrong tool for the job. |
