Post subject:  Somogyi question: idle curiosity

I was reading through one of the Big Red Books when I came across his article, Principles of Guitar Dynamics and Design. (It's posted on his website here: http://www.esomogyi.com/principles.html) In it Somogyi compares his top to a Martin top. The thing is, online there are no pictures. The original article has pictures. And in the picture, Somogyi's top has no scallops in the braces. But then I'm not sure it's been completely voiced.

So, does anyone know if he usually builds his braces without any scalloping? Just curious.

Thanks,

Flori

Its been a while so I'm going on memory here, we were talking about this subject and I'm pretty sure he said he didn't use scallops, at least in the traditional sense, with huge valleys and peaks.
