For those who buy exotic wood that is prewaxed to prevent splitting, how do you remove the wax before building? And if run through a sander, does it clog up the sandpaper and melt into the pores making finishing hard?

Scraper, and yes it makes a mess of the sandpaper on the drum sander.

Naptha can be used. It dries pretty fast too.

Naphtha is not going to remove the wax used to seal end grain.

So it's not good for sanding. What about finishing? Sounds like it should be cut off before building when just on end grain.Seems like a mess to deal with if it's on the whole board, which i have seen before.
