For those who buy exotic wood that is prewaxed to prevent splitting, how do you remove the wax before building? And if run through a sander, does it clog up the sandpaper and melt into the pores making finishing hard? |

Scraper, and yes it makes a mess of the sandpaper on the drum sander. |

Naptha can be used. It dries pretty fast too. |

Naphtha is not going to remove the wax used to seal end grain. |

So it's not good for sanding.What about finishing? Sounds like it should be cut off before building when just on end grain.Seems like a mess to deal with if it's on the whole board, which i have seen before. |
