Looks great! :-)

What did you decide to go with for the binding adhesive?

I used CA. It worked out fairly well and I am sure the next time it will be a little easier.

I just find the double top construction with a nomex core to be very interesting. From what I have read some love it and others believe it isn't worth the extra cost and effort. My own opinion so far is that it is interesting. It certainly is extra work but when I get it done I will find out if it was worth the effort.

Hey Brad.... very nicely done! Your build quality looks very good.

Question - what is the purfling on the top? It looks like something BobC sells - but I'm not sure. Looks VERY nice.

I also like the rosette. This is exactly what I'm hoping to do on my next guitar.

WAY TO GO!

The top purfling is .030 b/w/b, then .060 claro walnut, and .030 b/w/b purfling. The claro walnut is scrap that was left over from the sides. It is also the same wood that I used in the rosette. Todd Stock built a guitar that used a similar concept. I really liked the look so I thought I would give it a shot.

That is a great question. I have a few Mahogany neck blanks but since the wood is a different color than the sides I am not sure if it will match that well. I purchased a piece of walnut and was thinking about using 2 pieces of wanut with a thin curly maple piece down the middle. I would probably add some fiber between the pieces to accent. This would probably match everything else well. As for the fingerboard and bridge I was originally leaning towards Ebony but wouldn't mind something more to match the walnut...any ideas?

Cherry for the neck. On my McKnight, Tim matched Cherry to Cocobolo beautifuly.
Your guitar is coming along fantastic. I hope I do as well!

Looks incredible, Brad. Your first eh? Looks incredibly clean. I love your purfling and binding scheme. Sure would like to see it when it's done!
