The newest Luthier Tips du Jour instructional video is on Youtube. The topic is neck Blanks. Subtitles are available in both English and Portuguese and you can translate them into any other language by using the CC option on Youtube.

Robbie, curious to know why you don't cut the excess thickness of peg head from the backside? BTW, thanks for the tip on installing classical tuners among many of your others.

For me it is easier to clean up the cut if it is on the face of the peghead instead of on the back. I can easily hand plane it or run it across a joiner. You can't do that on the back side of the peghead.
