I am at the point where I need some nut files, reamers, etc. Mounting bridge, saddle, nut and end pin. What tools (without going overboard) do I need to get? Mike |

Check string sizes The Stewi Mac reamer is recommended, not getting a cheap one, you can't get around it, but there is also a $9.00 bit at stewi mac, if you know your sizes for the posts. I never asked that yet, still down the road a bit... Stew Mac reamer is pricey but it's a great tool. I use the double sided set of three Ibanez nut files that LMI sells and have been quite pleased. |

Ya Mike, the stew mac reamer is the tool for the job on bridge pins. I also have the 3 piece, double sided Ibanez nut files, but I got them from Allied back when they were less expensive. LMI is less expensive than Allied on these files. They work good for me over the past 4 years now. |

So, they offer 3 degree and 5 degree pin reamers. What is the most popular? Mike |

Well, of course it depends on the pins you like to use. I use 3* and that's the reamer I have. If you're going to do repairs at all, it's good to have both. |
