I received an email from Target Coatings that tells of 25% discount. ![]() Spring has finally arrived here in beautiful New Jersey, which means everyone gets a extra Global 25% Discount off all items sold through the FinishingZone during final checkout! Sale Ends March 31, 2009 ACT NOW! I picked up a gallon of the EmTech 6000 and some of the High Solids Grain Filler to try. There have been several discussions, here and in other forums, regarding the ease of use and satisfaction with this product. Just wanted to pass the information along. http://www.targetcoatings.com/shop/index.php?p=home Philip http://www.targetcoatings.com/shop/index.php?p=home |

Is the $44 right, or is it 25% off of that? Thanks, Jeff |

I just bought some. It is $44 - $11 = $33 + shipping and tax if applicable. Really good deal. For me the shipping was about $11 so it was like getting free shipping. |

I'm thinking of buying some. How long will this product last and is the time it remains good shortened after the can is opened? No need to buy a gallon if it will be bad in a year or two. Would a quart be enough to finish 3 or 4 guitars? |

I've never used this before, but I think I'm going to buy some and try it. What else should I buy along with it? I don't have a spray gun as of right now.....so I would probably try brushing it on. I have thought seriously about buying a cheap decent gun. (Any recommendations on that also?) I didn't think while building my first guitar that I would need a gun, etc.... now I'm working on five and six and it doesn't look like I'm going to get tired of this stuff any time soon, so a better way of finishing is something I have thought about. Thanks, Jeff |

Just placed my order, thanks for letting us know. I have been French polishing, but recently got a Sata Mini Jet, along with some nitro lacquer. Since I now have the EmTech 6000 on the way, any suggestions as to which I should use? |

I just finished a 00 with EmTech 6000. I used a cheap HVLP and found it about the same to use as nitro but without the dangers. After about 3 weeks of use it is a great finish so far. I will probably stay with it from here on out. I used another target product in the past and this is superior to that. Much clearer and a little harder. Dry sanding is probably the best way to level it. I finished to 800 and polished it from there. I think it will be great for the person who does a few builds a year. |

I bought some too, and it arrived in two days. Great service, and Jeff was ultra helpful on a couple of questions I had. Can't wait to try it. |
