| Post subject: | CA drop fill over varnish? |
I've used CA to drop fill over lacquer before and it ended up basically invisible. I've found a couple of small areas along the binding/purfling of a guitar that I've finished in Pratt & Lambert #38 varnish that could use a little touch up and I'm looking for some advise. Anyone have any experience drop filling over varnish? Thanks, |

Good idea about letting some of the varnish thicken and then using it to drop fill. I'll give that a try. Thanks! |

As long as you spray/brush another coat over it, CA dropfills under varnish will look invisible. |

Laurent, Thanks for your response. I know you have extensive experience using varnish and was hoping you might add your expertise to this thread. I have scrap pieces to test on, so I'll be experimenting a bit before continuing. Thanks again, |
