Well I must admit to being very impressed with Z-Poxy as a pore filler. It's the best method (for me anyway) I've found to date. I had delayed in giving it a try as I still had a good supply of the System III and I figured it couldn't be that much different. However I have found it easier to use, it fills better and sands easier. All good. My question is this: do people use silica power with Z-Poxy and, if so, what are the advantages and what ratio of powder is used?

Thanks,
Pat

Silica micro beads have been used as a thickener with al sorts of epoxy for many years. Personally I feel with Zpoxy it defeats the attribute that Zpoxy has over most epoxies. It is Zpoxy's viscosity that makes it flow deep into the pores rather than bridge them. Thickening Zpoxy seems counter productive in my opinion. But yes if you thicken it, it will seem to go quicker but will fill shallower.
