I put some videos in the tutorial section. These two parts are pretty much just a demo. viewtopic.php?f=10117&t=21428&p=296904#p296904 |

Chris, I like the bridge slotting fixture. On the next one can you show us how you ancor the strings? Thanks for taking the time to do these. John |

Hey John, I won't be doing that for awhile but you can check out Mike Doolin's artical as it should be pretty much the same as he does it. Plus you can see his jigs too. http://www.doolinguitars.com/articles/bridgejigs/ I think on the next one I'm going to show how I make the template and then use it to make the fixtures. I use an inlay kit and use this method to make several other things like a building mold template and bending forms to name two. I was going to work on it today but took a break as I was having trouble uploading part 2 yesterday. First attempt was 4 hour and then it errored and the next 2 attempts ran an hour and errored and finally the 4th. one worked at 5 hours to upload. The bad part is this Vista OS will hibernate after 1 hour and stop the upload so I have to stick around while it uploads. When the screen goes black after 1/2 hour I have to move the mouse to light it back up so it doesn't hibernate. A real PITA. |
