John is on the mend and is going to be fine. He had chest surgery yesterday to clear an infection that could not be gotten to with antibiotics. They think they got it all. He's in a world of hurt from having his ribs separated, but keeping his spirits high. They expect him to be in the hospital for another week or so and a couple of weeks to return to normal activity. I'll be in touch with him again as he recovers and I'll keep everyone posted. He sounded very appreciative of everyone's concern. |

Thanks John, Just imagine getting laid off from your job, all the anxiety over that then, relocating, finding a new home, all the stress that goes with that and now this. Hope he returns to his crazy, dancing self in short time. |

Awesome news about John, John! Thanks for the update...I just watched a show about ribs last night...the Rendevous in Memphis...great ribs...it's always sad when ribs separate...no one thinks of the baby (back ribs)...I'm just sayin'....I know John M. would appreciate my line of thought here...what if they'd completely separated John FROM his ribs...that'd make the dance at the end of his next video really entertaining!  But seriously, glad you're on the mend JM!

Any updates from John on his progress? Is he out of the hospital? Hope all is going well for him. As an avid fan of Nebraska football, I would like to blame all of this on his recent move to Oklahoma.

He's still in the hospital. They found some new pneumonia and a couple more broken ribs, but they think they have it under control and he may go home in a few days. |
